We've run into a recurring issue where guest presenters are unable to share their screen during a live broadcast, forcing us to troubleshoot in real time in front of our audience. To fix this, I'd like to request a native pre-broadcast testing environment — essentially a staging lobby where the host and guests can verify screen sharing is working before the session goes live.
I know the virtual waiting room workaround exists (start the broadcast, hold attendees in the waiting room, test first), but it creates a secondary problem: if auto-record is enabled, the session starts recording the moment the broadcast begins. That means you either capture your pre-check in the recording, or you have to remember to disable auto-record in advance and manually trigger recording after letting attendees in — an extra step that's easy to forget in the middle of managing a live event.
A dedicated pre-broadcast environment would solve both problems cleanly. This is already standard in platforms like Zoom Webinars and Streamyard. Would love to see it in TrainerCentral.
