Enrich your training sessions by adding a co-trainer. Co-trainers are people from your organization who can be added to your live remote sessions to act as moderators. They can assist you in answering questions, engaging your participants via chat, and even deliver a segment of the training session. Having more than one trainer in your session can offer an enhanced learning experience for your trainees.
Adding a Co-Trainer
To add a co-trainer:
- Click Add Co-trainer under the Trainer section.
- Choose a trainer from your organization.
The assigned co-trainer will be notified via email.
Only the session host can launch the session. Once the session is launched, the session host can transfer the control of the session to the co-trainer.
How does a co-trainer access the training session?
1. Once a presenter has been added as the co-trainer for a training session, they can access the training from their TrainerCentral account by clicking on the respective session in the Upcoming Sessions listing tab.
2. Under the Session Details Page, they can join the session as a co-trainer by clicking on the Join Session icon on the top right corner.
Before a Session
The co-trainer can:
- Create and edit polls.
- Invite people to the session.
- Promote the session by embedding the session details and registration form.
However, the co-trainer cannot alter any settings under the Registration or Settings tabs.
During a Session
The co-trainer can:
- Speak using the mic.
- Create, edit and launch polls.
- Answer live questions raised by attendees.
- Chat with the participants.
After a Session Host Transfers Control
The co-trainer can:
- Conduct the session using audio/video.
- Share the presentation and use Screenshare.
Note: The co-trainer cannot record the session. Only the session host can start/stop recording.
Giving a Co-Trainer Control
To give a co-trainer control over a session, click on the Transfer session control icon.
If you wish to reclaim this control, click Revoke session control icon.
Your co-trainer will receive a notification to either accept or deny control over the session.
Kindly note that if the co-trainer refuses to take control over the session, you will automatically gain control over the session.
Giving Session Control Back to the Host
The co-trainer can transfer the session control back to the host by clicking on Transfer session control icon.
Note: The session host is required to be active in the session always. If the host leaves and does not return by ten minutes, the session cannot be terminated by the co-trainers.
Separate Chat Window for Trainers
The trainers of a session can chat with each other using a private chat window. This helps them collaborate effectively in real time.
Separate Chat Window for Trainees
The trainers can also discuss with any one trainee at a time using the chat window. This helps to address a trainee's issue more personally.
An attendee can also initiate a private chat with the trainers in a session by clicking on Chat with trainers in the Chats pane.
The co-trainer can also view session analytics after the session to gain insights on the effectiveness of their training.
