TrainerCentral's Guest trainer feature allows you to invite domain experts or external trainers as speakers directly to a training session. This helps you add a fresh perspective to your trainings, reach a wider audience, and enhance the learning experience offered to your trainees. Your learners can participate in immersive discussions with the industry experts who have joined as guest trainers.
Adding a guest trainer
To add a guest trainer:
1. Click Add Guest trainer under the Trainer section after you create a live workshop.
2. Enter the name and email address of the person you want to invite as a guest trainer.
The assigned guest trainer will be notified via email.
Only the session host can launch the session. Once the session is launched, the session host can transfer the control of the session to the guest trainer.
Edit Guest trainer's profile
Potential attendees are more likely to sign up for your session when they know more about the trainer. Generate buzz about your guest trainer's achievements and credibility by showcasing their profile details on your session page.
1. Click on the Edit profile option under the Trainers section.
2. Enter the required details and click Save.
How does a guest trainer access the training session?
1. Once a presenter has been added as the guest trainer for a session, they'll receive an email invitation that they need to accept.
2. Once they accept the invitation, they can access the training from the general session webpage that's displayed.
During a Session
The guest trainer can do the following:
- Broadcast their audio/video.
- Present content and use screenshare.
- Create, edit, and launch polls.
- Answer questions raised by attendees.
- Chat with the participants via the common chat room and private chat room.
- Chat with other trainers in private.
Note: The guest trainer can conduct the session using audio/video, and share the presentation and use Screenshare only after a Session Host transfers the control.
Note: The guest trainer cannot record the session. Only the session host can start or stop recording.
Giving a guest trainer Control
To give a guest trainer control over a session, click the Transfer session control icon.
If you wish to reclaim this control, click the Revoke session control icon.
Your guest trainer will receive a notification to either accept or deny control over the session.
Please note that if the guest trainer refuses to take control over the session, you will automatically gain control over it, instead.
Note: The session host is required to always be active in the session. If the host leaves and does not return by ten minutes, the session cannot be terminated by the guest trainers.
Separate Chat Window for Trainers
The trainers of a session can chat with each other using a private chat window. This helps them collaborate effectively in real time.
Separate Chat Window for Trainees
The trainers can also discuss with any one trainee at a time using the chat window. This helps to address a trainee's issue more personally.
An attendee can also initiate a private chat with the trainers in a session by clicking Chat with trainers in the Chats pane.
Note: Guest trainers do not have access to registrants' data before the session, and they cannot get any session analytics data after the session is over.
