Keep your session interactive and engaging by getting quick replies to your questions with polls. Learn how to compose, launch, share results with your attendees, analyze poll data and re-use polls between sessions.
Create a Poll
1. Click the Library icon in the left panel and click the Polls tab, then click Create Poll.
2. Choose a Poll Format- Multiple Choice, Text box or Rating.
3. The polls that you created will appear in the Polls library. To create another poll, click Create Poll and once you have created polls, you can use them during your session.
Create polls during the session
1. Launch the remote session and click the Poll tab at the left panel and click Create Poll. A pop-up will appear. Choose a Poll Format- Multiple Choice, Text box or Rating.
Multiple Choice
Let your audience select among various pre-defined options.
- Enter a question.
- Enter the options for your audience to vote and click Create.
- By default, there are two answer options. You can choose to add additional options by clicking on the +Add Option button.
Textbox
Text boxes let your audience write free response answers. These questions can be used to collect open ended feedback.
- Enter a question.
- Choose the maximum number of characters(30 /60 /90 /120 /150 /300) for your audience can enter in the text box and click Create.
- By default, 300 characters will be selected, but you can change the limit by clicking on the drop-down and selecting a different number.
Rating
Let your audience select a single rating for your question. These questions can be used to take a survey or get an item ranked.
- Enter a question.
- Choose the maximum number of stars(3 /5 /10) for your audience to use for rating.
- Choose a label to explain the value(e.g. Agree & Disagree) and click Create.
- By default, a 5-star rating scale will be selected, but you can change the rating by clicking on the drop-down and selecting a different number.
Note: All the Polls that you create will be added to the library.
Import and edit polls
As a trainer, TrainerCentral lets you easily import polls from one session to another. It also allows you to edit and delete a poll before you start presenting.
Import polls before the session begins
TrainerCentral gives you the option of importing polls from one session to another via the poll library.
Launch/ Project Polls during the Presentation
Choose a question and click Start Poll. The question will pop-up on your attendees' smartphones. Your attendees can choose to answer the Poll or they can ignore it. They will be able to vote until the end of the session. They can also edit their votes during this time.
To project the results of a poll, click the Polls tab. On a specific question, click Votes. When the pop-up opens, click View Results to display the results to your attendees.
Once you're done projecting the results, click Continue Presenting to resume.
Show and analyze Poll results
As a trainer, you get full freedom as to whether you show the poll votes to your attendees. Analyze your poll results at the end of the session to see how things worked.
Click the Polls tab, then click Votes on a question to display the results while you deliver a session. A pop-up will list the associated poll results.
a) Multiple Choice- Display the question along with answer options, your participants' answers, and the number of people who participated in the poll.
b) Text box- Display the question along with your participants' answers and the number of people who participated in the poll.
c) Rating- Display the question along with the rating options, your participants' ratings, and the number of people who participated in the poll.
Click View results to display the results to your audience. A graph will explain the results in detail.
You can return to this data and analyze the poll results after you finish a session.
Analyze the poll data
Once you finish a session, a Session Details summary screen will appear. Click the Polls tab to analyze the poll data.
A list of conducted polls will be available with the question and number of votes received. Click View Results on a particular question to analyze the results. You will be able to view the detailed analytics of the particular poll that you conducted:

a) Multiple Choice - View details such as the question asked, answer options, the participants' votes, attendee list, attendee email addresses, and the answers each participant provided. The number of participants that attended the session versus the votes received will be displayed in a diagram. You can filter the results based on which answer people selected.
b) Text box - View details such as the question asked, your attendee list, their email addresses, and the comments they provided. The number of participants that attended the session versus the votes received will be displayed in a diagram.
c) Ratings - View details such as the question asked, rating scale options with the scores, attendee list, their email addresses, and the rating they provided. An average rating will be displayed in a diagram. You can filter the results based on which answer people selected.
Get poll responses
Launch polls during the session and get live poll responses from your audience instantly. Invite your audience to participate in the polls using their smartphone in order to keep the session interactive.
A pop-up will appear. Your attendees can answer them instantly or they can answer later by clicking Participate to attend a particular poll from the Polls tab. All polls answered by attendees will move from the Unanswered tab to the Answered tab.
Multiple choice -
Your attendees can choose an option from a list of answers and click Submit.
Text box -
Your attendees can type an answer within a set number of characters and click Submit.
Rating -
Your attendees can choose a star rating from the available options and click Submit.
When attendees answer polls, they will move from the Unanswered tab to the Answered tab.
