Access the AI Console  

The AI Console lets you configure Zia, connect external AI platforms, select preferred models, and manage AI features for your academy.

To access the AI Console:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select AI Console.

The AI Console contains the following sections:

• Zia

• Preferred Models

• AI Features
  
  
  

Note: AI features, including Zoho AI and external AI platforms, are currently unavailable in China.

Enable Zoho AI  

Enable Zoho AI to use AI-powered features without managing API keys or selecting models.

To enable Zoho AI:

1. Navigate to Settings > AI Console > Zia.

2. Enable Zoho AI.

3. Review the AI usage terms.

4. Click Enable.

By enabling Zoho AI, you agree to the AI usage terms and acknowledge that your content may be processed by third-party AI providers.

Note: Zoho AI is unavailable in the EU, UK, South Africa, UAE and China regions.

Connect an external AI platform  

You can connect your own AI platform using an API key. TrainerCentral currently supports ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

To connect an external AI platform:

1. Navigate to Settings > AI Console > Zia.

2. Under External AI Platforms, select the platform you want to connect.

3. Click Add Key.

4. Enter your API key.

5. Click Save.

Your API key is stored securely and used only to connect TrainerCentral with the selected AI platform.

Note: Credits for external AI platforms must be purchased directly from the respective provider.

Edit an API key  

You can update the API key for a connected external AI platform whenever required.

1. Go to Settings > AI Console > Zia.

2. Click the More icon for the required platform.

3. Select Edit Key.

4. Enter the new API key.

5. Click Save.

Delete an API key  

Deleting an API key disconnects the corresponding AI platform. Content that was previously generated using the platform won't be affected.

To delete an API key:

1. Go to Settings > AI Console > Zia.

2. Click the More icon for the required platform.

3. Select Delete.

4. Click Delete to confirm.

If the platform is currently selected under Preferred Models, you need to select another platform before you can delete its API key.

Select a preferred AI model  

When you connect an external AI platform, you can select the platform and model you want to use for text-based AI features.

To select a preferred model:

1. Go to Settings > AI Console > Preferred Models.

2. Under Text, select the required AI platform.

3. Select the model you want to use.

Select Auto to use the default model configured for the selected platform.

Currently, preferred model selection is supported only for text-based AI features.

Enable AI features  

After enabling Zoho AI or configuring an external AI platform, you can choose which AI features you want to use in your academy.

To enable an AI feature:

1. Go to Settings > AI Console > AI Features.

2. Turn on the required AI feature.

To use Zia's conversational assistant, turn on Ask Zia. Once enabled, you can access Zia from the top-right corner of your academy and use it for supported AI-powered actions.

You can turn off an AI feature whenever you no longer want it to be available.

Purchase Zoho AI credits  

When you use Zia with Zoho AI, AI-powered actions consume AI credits. These AI credits aren't included with your TrainerCentral subscription and can be purchased on the Professional plan. You can view your credit usage and purchase additional credits from the Zia settings.

To purchase AI credits:

1. Go to Settings > AI Console > Zia.

2. Click Buy Credits.

3. Enter the required number of credits in the Purchase AI Credits window.

4. Click Calculate Price.

5. Review the price and complete the purchase.

The current credit rate is $1 = 1,000 AI credits.

If you run out of AI credits, purchase additional credits to continue using Zia.

Note: Academies in the US and India DC receive 500 AI credits as a one-time allocation.
