Restricting the use of public email domains as the primary contact

Hello all,

This is an important announcement regarding the change in the use of primary contact policies. Starting from January 31, 2025, the use of email addresses with public domains—such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook—will be restricted. Only verified domain email addresses can be used as the primary contact. This change will help improve email deliverability.

The importance of domain authentication

Internet service providers (ISPs) consider public domain email addresses to be at high risk for spams, phishing, and forgery. Because of this, there's a high chance of genuine emails being flagged as spam and other deliverability issues.

To overcome this, we're implementing the mandatory email authentication for the academy's primary contact. Once verified, the ISPs will consider the emails from the authorized domain to be legitimate, which significantly improves the chance of emails ending in the recipient's primary inbox.

NotesIf your academy is using a public domain as the primary contact and doesn't have any authorized email domain, you can set notifications@trainercentral.com as the primary contact for your academy by deleting your default email domain.
