Hi everyone!
It's
time to put the spotlight on another helpful TrainerCentral feature. In
today's post, we will learn how to utilize email notifications to keep
your learners engaged and updated.
What is an email notification?
An
email notification is a reminder email sent to your learners that
politely urges them to act in a progressive manner. In short, it informs
the learners of any upcoming classes, assignments, workshops, and
payment reminders.
What are the instances in which email can be sent?
You
can modify the conditions for which the emails must be sent out. These
conditions are categorized based on their functions. The categories of
email notifications currently available in TrainerCentral are listed as
follows.
- Learner notifications
- Live workshop notifications
- Invitation/onboard notifications
- Assignment notifications
- Payment-related notifications
- Emails to admins
To
give you an idea of this feature, let's consider an example. Learners
may sometimes miss the first chance to access a course after enrolling
in it. To remind them to access the course, you can automate an email to
be sent when they are inactive for a specific number of days.
To
do this, you have to check the "Reminder to access" box under Learner
notifications and enter the number of days to wait before an email is
sent. If you've entered 3, an email will be sent to learners when they
are inactive for three consecutive days.
Can emails be modified?
Yes!
All emails can be edited by the admin by clicking the Edit option
available under the More icon, seen at the right side of the list of
instances. Using this, you can change the tone of the predefined
message, or change it according to the geographic location of the
learners.
What are email reminders?
This
is another feature of TrainerCentral similar to email notifications.
Email reminders can be used to notify the learners when a live session
or a workshop is scheduled.
When does a learner receive an email?
TrainerCentral currently offers four instances in which a learner may receive a reminder email.
- One hour before the scheduled time of the session.
- One day before the session.
- 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the session.
- A "thank you" mail after attending the session.
Note:
You can also add a customized survey form along with the "thank you"
mail to collect your learners' feedback after the session.
