Customize test retakes for individual learners

Hello everyone,

Retake tests help learners make progress, gain insights into their strengths and weaknesses, and boost their confidence. In TrainerCentral, you can enable retake test attempts for all learners. However, every learner is different and unique. Wouldn't it be better to have the flexibility to configure the retest count for an individual learner based on their attributes, like interest, morale, and passion?

Welcome to another Tips and Tricks post from TrainerCentral. In today's post, we'll look at how to edit an individual learner's test attempt count.

Imagine you've created a course called Master Your Critical Thinking Skills with test content. You’ve set the number of retake attempts for this test to two. This will provide a cushion if the learners fail to pass the test. And, if you want to increase the retest attempt for a specific learner based on their attributes, you can do it at the individual level.

To edit the individual learner's test count:

  1. In Reports, navigate to the Test report tab.

  2. Select the required test. The list of learners who took the test will be displayed.

  3. Click the Edit test attempt count link under the Action column for the learner to whom you want to provide retest attempts. The Edit test attempt count pop-up window will be displayed.

  4. Enter or click the incremental button to increase the test count.

  5. Click Save.
