Tip #9: Evaluate your learners' progress and understanding using tests

Hello everyone!

We're back with another interesting TrainerCentral tip for you all. If you want to view our previous articles in the Tips and Tricks series, you can find them here

In today's post, we'll show you different ways to use TrainerCentral's test feature to evaluate your learners' understanding and improve their engagement in your online course.

Tests are an important feature to assess the knowledge and understanding of learners enrolled in an online course. It's the quickest way to track the progress of your learners and helps in providing instant feedback.

Tips to use online tests effectively in your online course:

Evaluate learners' progress: Incorporating tests in your online course is the best way to evaluate the progress of your learners. To ensure thorough evaluation, make sure to include a test before and after each lesson. This will help both you and your learners to track their level of understanding after each lesson.

Real-time evaluation: To evaluate your learners' in real time, conduct online tests during live virtual sessions. This will help you analyze the perception of the students in the live session. Based on the result, separate breakout rooms can also be created to teach learners with varying levels of expertise.

Self assessment: Enable the retake test option and display the test results upon completion of the tests. This will help the learners self-assess their level of understanding and encourage them to retake the tests until they feel comfortable about their understanding of the subject.

Set a threshold: Set a passing grade for your online tests. Learners will need to score the threshold grade before moving on to the next chapter. This will allow them to proceed further through the course only if they have a solid grasp over the contents of the previous lessons.
