Configure Tickets for SCORM Courses


Tickets allow you to manage learner access to your courses by configuring the pricing for your SCORM course. They can be used to offer free or paid enrollment options, helping you control course pricing and availability.

Access Ticket

  1. Navigate to the SCORM course listing page and click the required course. The Details page will be displayed.

  2. Go to Settings in the primary sidebar.

  3. In the secondary sidebar, under Pricing, select Tickets.
    The Configure Product Tickets page will be displayed. 

Available Ticket Types  

You can create different ticket types based on your pricing strategy:

Free  

In SCORM courses, you can offer your course at no cost which can be used for ideal for promotional or introductory content. Learners can enrol without making any payment.

  1. Click Add under the Free tab. The Free ticket window will open.

  2. Enter the following details:

    • Ticket name: Provide a name for the ticket.

    • Description: Add details about the ticket and course.

    • Enrollment duration: Set the time period for learners to access the course for free.

    • Purchase limit per learner: Define how many times a learner can claim this ticket.

  1. Click Submit.

 

One-time Payment  

Here, you can charge a single fee for course access. Learners pay once and receive full access, which is suitable for most standard paid courses.

Enter the following details:

  • Amount: Specify the course fee. The default currency is based on the base currency set in Payments → Payment Setup.

  • Add currency: Optionally add more currencies to support regional payments. Refer to the multi-currency help article for details.

  • Ticket name: Provide a name for the ticket.

  • Description: Add details about the ticket and course.

  • Enrollment duration: Set how long learners can access the course after purchase.

  • Purchase limit per learner: Define how many times a learner can purchase this ticket.

  • Tax preference: Choose whether the ticket is taxable or non-taxable.

  • Price includes taxes: Enable this option if the listed price includes taxes. Otherwise, taxes will be added at checkout.

 

Custom Ticket  

TrainerCentral integrates with the following payment gateways: Razorpay, Stripe, Paytm, Forte, Authorize.Net, PayPal, and Mercado Pago. You can configure a Custom Payment Gateway to use a different gateway.  

Create a Custom Ticket  

  1. Click Create Custom Ticket on the right.

  2. In the Custom Payment window, enter the following:

    • Amount: Specify the ticket price.

    • Ticket name: Provide a name for the ticket.

    • Description: Add a brief description.

    • Tax preference: Select your preferred tax option.

    • Custom payment link: Enter the external payment page URL. Learners will be redirected to this page.

  1. Click Submit.

Integrating a Custom Payment Gateway  

  1. Go to your payment gateway’s website.

  2. Create a payment plan or ticket that matches your TrainerCentral ticket (the same amount and purpose).

  3. Paste the payment page link into the Custom payment link field in TrainerCentral.

Notes

Notes:

  • Each payment plan must be unique and correspond to a specific course or live session ticket.

  • Enrollment is not automated for custom payments. You must enroll learners manually after confirming payment.

Enrolling Learners  

You can enroll learners using one of the following methods:

Manage Ticket Plans  

In the Tickets section, you can manage different ticket plans for your course. Each plan represents a pricing option that learners can choose during purchase.

View ticket plan details  

Once tickets are created, they will be displayed with the following details:

  • Plan Name: The name of the ticket plan

  • Price: The cost of the ticket plan.

  • Purchase URL: Allows you to copy the purchase link for the ticket. You can share this link with learners to enable direct enrolment.

  • Status: Use the toggle to mark the ticket plan as Active or Inactive:

    • Active – The plan is available for purchase

    • Inactive – The plan is not available to learners

  • Set as Default: Select this option to make a ticket plan the default selection during checkout.

  • Display on Site: Toggle this option to control whether the ticket plan is visible on your course page:

    • Show – Visible to learners

    • Hide – Hidden from the course page

  • Actions: Click the more options icon to:

    • Edit the ticket plan

    • Delete the ticket plan


Notes
Note: The ticket chosen as default will be the one displayed on your course widgets, thumbnails, academy's course listings, and so on.



Edit ticket

Click the more options icon under the Actions column.

  1. Select Edit. The edit coupon window will be displayed with the following fields:

  2. Update the required fields.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.


Delete ticket

  1. Click more options under the Actions column.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Click on the Delete button on the pop-up to confirm the deletion.

Create coupons for a SCORM course  

Offer discounts on your paid SCORM courses by creating coupons. Coupons can only be applied to one-time payment tickets.

To create a coupon:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Pricing > Coupons.

  2. Click Create Coupon.

  3. Configure the following details:

    • Choose coupon: Apply the coupon to all tickets or select custom tickets.

    • Coupon name: Enter a name to identify the coupon.

    • Coupon code: Enter the code learners must use to redeem the discount during checkout.

    • Coupon discount: Specify the discount value as a percentage or a fixed amount.

    • Redemption type: Choose whether learners can redeem the coupon only once or multiple times, based on your requirements.

    • Coupon expiry date: Set an expiration date to automatically disable the coupon after the specified date.

    • Coupon redemption limit: Specify the maximum number of times the coupon can be redeemed before it becomes inactive.

  1. Click Create to save the coupon.

Learners can apply the coupon code during checkout to receive the configured discount on eligible one-time payment tickets.
