Hello everyone,
As a trainer, email communication plays a vital role in building strong and positive relationships with learners. While using individual email addresses can create a more personal connection, communicating through dedicated purpose-based email accounts ensures a more professional and structured approach.
Welcome to the TrainerCentral Tips and Tricks series. Today, we'll provide tips on how to customize your primary email addresses to create purpose-based emails for your academy.
The primary email address is where your learners will receive important communications and other notifications from your academy.
Purpose-based professional email addresses enhance your brand’s credibility and streamline communication between learners and prospects. If you have a custom email domain registered for your academy to align with your brand, you can add multiple primary email addresses to that domain and choose the one you need while configuring the email to the learner.
You can also categorize and customize these primary email addresses based on their purpose. Let’s use a simple example: You run an academy with a verified custom email domain, zylker.com. You can create multiple primary email addresses, such as support@zylker.com for learner support, sales@zylker.com for purchase inquiries, and questions@zylker.com for general queries. This allows you to streamline communication and use the right email for the right purpose.
How to customize your primary email address.
Click the Emails tab on the left pane.
Select the Contact Settings tab at the top. The Contact Settings page will be displayed.
Click the Add Contact link below the primary email addresses section. The Add Contact window will be displayed.
Specify the Name from which the mail will be sent.
Enter the Email address for which the domain is verified.
Click the Add button.
What are the benefits of using purpose-based email addresses?
A purpose-based email address will provide you with the following benefits:
It organizes your communication: It will be easier to track conversations related to specific topics by both trainers and learners.
It improves customer experience: Learners can quickly reach the right department without confusion, leading to faster response times.
It conveys professionalism: The email addresses from the generic group addresses will let your learners know that the emails are managed by a team instead of individuals.
