Once you've created your course overview, it's time to add lesson materials to your curriculum. Your lesson material forms the core of your course; it's vitally important to design it with its corresponding chapters and lectures correctly. Chapters group a set of lessons with a relevant theme or under a common topic. Lessons are individual lectures with specific lesson material types like PDF, video, or text.
Let's say you wish to add a lesson on "Understanding Thermodynamics" under the chapter "Introduction to Combustion Engines." In logical order, you create the chapter first. After this, you can create a new lesson and add PDF documents, combustion engineering videos, and more to your lesson "Understanding Thermodynamics".
There is no limit to the number of chapters and lessons you can create in a course, and this flexibility helps you draft the flow of the curriculum in the unique way you prefer.
1. Once you create a course, click on the Curriculum tab to create chapters and lessons.
2. In the "UNTITLED CHAPTER" field, type the title of that chapter and click Save to save.
1. Click Add Lesson under any chapter to create a new lesson, then enter the title and description for that lesson.

This allows leads and prospects to view a particular lesson without purchasing the course. This helps them to learn about your course/lesson better before they decide to purchase it. To view a free preview lesson, a prospect has to enroll to your academy after which they can watch the lesson. You can view a list of leads who've viewed a free preview lesson in the Course Reports section.
This allows your students to download all content material added to this lesson. If left unchecked, they will not be able to download the PDFs, videos, or any other learning material associated with this lesson.
Making a lesson a pre-requisite makes it mandatory for your students to finish that particular lesson before proceeding to the next one. If they try to begin subsequent lessons without finishing the pre-requisite one, they will get an error message on their screen denying them access.
When Set lesson to draft is enabled, that lesson will not yet be published to external users as part of your course. Lessons set in draft are considered to be in the works and are not available for public access.
TrainerCentral offers a discussion forum for each lesson enabling your students to post questions, discuss concepts, and brainstorm with trainers and fellow learners. Disabling this checkbox disables the discussion forum for that particular lesson.
You can reorder any chapter and lesson by clicking on the reorder icon to the left of the particular lesson or chapter title and dragging it to the correct location.
You can delete a chapter or lesson any time you wish by clicking on the delete icon next to the chapter or lesson.
